Within a 3 year period Thiess Process (TP) had increased its revenue by 300% and its staff numbers similarly. The challenge for TP was how to engage all these new staff in the Thiess vision and approach whilst ensuring high levels of safety and performance in isolated areas in multiple countries.


A fast-growing company with numerous new staff required clear and simple messages on priorities and the Thiess approach. An initial analysis and comprehensive strategic review including Leadership and Culture Assessments were conducted to identify accelerants and inhibitors to the change process. The executive team defined a new purpose, vision, values, balanced scorecard and corporate story for TP. Thiess leaders developed personal scorecards linked to the corporate scorecard to align this growing business to the strategy.


Thiess Process had a clear and simple strategy document to engage and align staff to the TP strategic agenda. The HR and performance systems in the business were redesigned to support the strategic agenda. Thiess executives had a detailed roadmap to deliver the desired future and a clear line of sight between their personal scorecard and the business’ scorecard.
